About the GWCT Allerton Project

The GWCT Allerton Project is dedicated to researching and demonstrating how productive farming can work hand in hand with environmental conservation. Through applied science, we explore ways to enhance biodiversity, improve soil and water management, and integrate sustainable farming practices into commercial agriculture.

We were fortunate to receive funding from the Golden Bottle Trust, which has enabled us to collaborate with the Environmental Farmers Group (EFG) to create and deliver expert-led content for their members via the EFG Knowledge Hub. This initiative provides farmers with access to trusted guidance, cutting-edge research, and peer-led discussions to support their efforts in farming with the environment.

Introducing the EFG Knowledge Hub

The EFG Knowledge Hub serves as a resource for EFG Members looking to enhance their knowledge of natural capital markets, sustainable land management, and the latest innovations in farming. By providing regular expert content, the hub ensures that farmers are equipped with the necessary tools to engage confidently in biodiversity, water management, and carbon trading markets.

The GWCT Allerton Project plays a leading role in creating and delivering the content available on the hub via podcasts, live webinars, video and briefing notes.

By engaging with this content, farmers will not only gain expert insights but also could connect with each other, share experiences, and discuss environmental changes and trading opportunities.
